IsoMist Programmable Temperature Spray Chamber

The IsoMist can help improve long term stability. It utilizes the Peltier effect to provide electrical cooling or heating to the spray chamber. The ‘Set Temperature’ is monitored and controlled by the ICP Expert software.

For installation and use instructions please see the IsoMist manual that came with your accessory.

Enable and configure the IsoMist for use in a worksheet

To enable and configure the IsoMist in ICP Expert:

1. Launch the ICP Expert software.
2. Open a new worksheet.
3. Click Configuration.
4. Select Enable IsoMist.
5. Click Conditions.
6. Enter the required IsoMist temperature.

When the worksheet run is started, the IsoMist will first proceed to the temperature set point and then begin analytical measurements.

Configure IsoMist default settings

To change the IsoMist default settings:

1. Launch the ICP Expert software.
2. Click File > Options.
3. Click Preferences.
4. In the 'Conditions' section, select Use IsoMist to automatically enable the IsoMist every new worksheet.
5. Enter the required default IsoMist temperature set point.

IsoMist Manual Control

To manually control the IsoMist:

1. Launch the ICP Expert software.
2. Click Instrument in the ribbon bar.
3. With an IsoMist connected to the computer, select the IsoMist checkbox on the bottom right of the Status page to enable IsoMist.
4. Set the Temperature Set Point.

The current temperature is displayed. This is for manual control only. To use IsoMist in a worksheet, follow the procedure above.

This temperature is not used in the worksheet.

The IsoMist must be connected and the IsoMist driver needs to be installed (see the IsoMist User's Guide for installation instructions) for all fields in this section to be available.
