Gas Manifold Upgrade

Agilent sell three gas manifold options:

• Ar, O₂, N₂ option
• Ar,O₂ option
• Ar option

To replace the gas manifold:

1. Turn off the gas to the ICP-OES.
2. Turn off the ICP-OES.
3. Remove the four hex screws.
   
   
4. Slide the gas block out of the instrument.
   
   
5. Replace the module with any of the three options. Ensure that the three O-ring seals (indicated with a yellow oval on the image above) are seated correctly before inserting the gas block.
6. Tighten the four hex screws. The red arrow on the image below indicates the shorter screw position.
