Ignition Page

The Ignition page is used to specify the operating conditions for the torch lighting sequence. The conditions for each step of the torch lighting procedure are displayed on the page. The steps involved in the ignition sequence are displayed in the order in which they occur in the rows of the table: purge, stabilization, ignite, run.

Ignition table

The table consists of the following columns which contain the operating conditions for each step in the torch lighting sequence.

Plasma

Defines the plasma gas flow in L/min for each stage in the sequence.

Auxiliary

Defines the auxiliary gas flow rate in L/min for each stage in the sequence. 

Nebulizer, O2/Ar and Make up

Displays the gas flow rate in L/min for each stage of the sequence. O2/Ar is only available if using oxygen injection.

Editable fields vary depending on the stage and gas flow.

Snout Purge

Displays when the snout purge is enabled. The only editable field is to enable or disable snout purge during the run.

Power

Defines the operating power for each stage in the sequence.

The Purge, Stabilization and Ignite fields in the Power column cannot be edited.

Pump

Defines the pump speed (in revolutions per minute) for each stage in the sequence.

The Ignite field in the Pump column cannot be edited.

Duration

Displays the duration of each applicable step. This is not editable.

Default

Replaces the current ignition setup parameters with the default settings.
