The RF control watchdog effectively controls the plasma generating system. If the watchdog system detects that the plasma generation system is not operating correctly, the high voltage supply is shut down.
If the problem persists after trying the following, contact your Agilent field service engineer or representative.

Power supply current (%u mA) below minimum threshold (%u mA) |
|
The RF power supply current measured was under threshold during plasma ignition or run operations. This is indicative of plasma extinguishing. |
It is recommended to retry the operation. Note: Observing the plasma ignition step at the time of the failure can provide diagnostic information. |
Maximum power supply current threshold reached (%u mA > %u mA) |
|
The RF power supply current has reached the maximum permissible. A high RF power setting in combination with certain sample types or a dry plasma. |
Retry with a different sample type being introduced to the plasma or a lower RF power. |
Cannot determine operating parameters for plasma power of %u W |
|
The requested plasma power setting is outside the supported power range. |
Retry the previous action. |
The instrument operation has become unstable. |
Restart the instrument from the front power button. |
||
The worksheet is corrupted. |
Try with a new worksheet. |
||
Time-out waiting for power supply voltage to reach %.1f V (%u ms) |
|
The RF power supply voltage monitored on the RF control PCA (board) failed to reach the set point voltage in the desired time. |
Retry the previous action. |
Bias voltage limit reached but Iosc = %d mA, expected >= %d mA |
|
During the plasma ignition sequence the FET bias upper limit was reached before the expected RF power supply current load. This indicates the RF oscillator failed to oscillate. |
Contact your Agilent field service engineer or representative. |
Power supply current over limit, %u mA > %u mA |
|
During plasma ignition sequence the RF power supply has reached maximum current in pre-ignition state. |
Contact your Agilent field service engineer or representative. |
Power supply current under limit, %u mA < %u mA |
|
The RF power supply current measured was less than the expected in the pre-ignition state indicating an RF problem. |
Retry the previous action. Note: Observing the plasma ignition step at the time of the failure can provide diagnostic information. |
Failed to achieve pre-ignition conditions in %u ms, V %u mV |
